february — the month of love
january felt like forever, and i barely made it out in one piece. the summer has been too hot — my horrific sunburn being proof of that, and everything was moving so slow. i usually prefer slowness, but this felt different. more stagnant than gentle or peaceful. as the month came closer to the end i started getting more and more excited for what really matters, Valentine’s Day.
as a true-blooded romantic, Valentine’s Day is my superbowl. it is a holiday that i celebrate all month long. i thrive when love is everywhere. an excuse to wear reds, hearts and cute lingerie? an opportunity to make my loved ones feel even more loved? a reminder of the love around us and the beauty of love? count me in 100x!!
i’m not sure what i’ll be doing yet (awkwardly awaiting an invite from the guy i’m sorta seeing….) but i know regardless the day will be spent well. perhaps a movie marathon of all my valentines favourites, or maybe i’ll spend the day baking treats for my loved ones. who knows!! i do know that if i spend valentines at home, my uniform will be my cou cou intimates cherry red pointelle set (do i ever shut up about this brand? no) and some soft loungewear. maybe my nymphomaniac t shirt and brandy meville shorts……
